Our Announced Visits to Libraries program is a dynamic initiative that brings NLIS leadership and staff to various branch libraries across The Bahamas. These visits serve multiple purposes: they allow us to conduct on-site assessments, engage directly with local staff and patrons, and showcase new services or resources. During these visits, we often host impromptu “meet and greet” sessions, giving community members a chance to share their thoughts and suggestions. These visits are crucial for maintaining a cohesive, responsive library system that truly serves the diverse needs of our island nation.
