It is a learning and media and Information literacy project that targets students of varied ages and those in all socio-economic strata and lifelong learners that need to access information in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. The virtual project took on momentum, especially during the pandemic as schools and libraries had to be closed because of Covid-19. Some provisions that were made possible by indirect impact of the pandemic were accessibility to educational databases, Zoom meetings FLIP(simulated experience of reading a physical book, turning of pages) reading of digitized books on www.nlis.bs
website, links to online trading courses and other sources. Teachers, students, parents expressed their gratitude for such valuable information and wish that the services continue beyond the pandemic.
